Exceeding our single-digit growth expectations, we sold 15 paperback copies in April: four through Old Market Artists Gallery, three through Dundee Gallery, six sold directly, and two sold through Amazon.com, representing a 25 percent increase over our March sales! Muy bueno!
In terms of marketing activity, our biggest coup was getting some much-needed publicity via our National Public Radio affiliate, KIOS, which received additional coverage by Creighton University’s College of Arts and Sciences. While the exposure did not immediately result in any sales, we’re sure that it went far in helping get word out. Unfortunately, due to running out of complimentary copies, we were unable to approach another local retailer to establish another retail outlet this month; but that remains a priority and we’re confident that we will accomplish that goal in May!
