February 2011 Sales

In the month of February I sold seven e-book copies via Amazon.com, generating $17.72 in royalties, all of which I will give to Caroline van Heerde, director of Constru Casa, in person when I see her this Thursday in Guatemala.

This month I launched a paperback version of the book, which will open a new revenue stream on Amazon.com and will enable me to sell print versions of the book locally.

I’m projecting an increase in sales in March, mostly due to two new initiatives. First, I’ll be selling paperback copies at a Project Harmony fundraiser on March 26 at the Hot Shops, just north of downtown Omaha. Fifteen percent of the proceeds from sales of the book at this special sale will be donated to Project Harmony, a local organization that protects children from abuse and neglect, with the remainder of the profits being donated to help educate children in Guatemala.

Second, I will open a local retail sales channel by getting bookstores and other retailers that serve our socially oriented demographic to agree to carry the book. My goal for the month is two secure at least two retail sales locations.

Since I believe in complete transparency and public accountability, you can count on seeing a sales report like this every month. Thank you all for your support!
